Verified Ratings and Reviews Publishing Program
We have partnered with Amplify Reviews to implement the ratings and reviews
program on our website. Read below
to understand how our feedback is collected, and how we decide what will and will not be published.
Why publish reviews?
We are proud of the work we do with our clients and the trust that we earn every day by putting our clients'
needs and goals first. We also understand that the process of selecting a financial advisor can be daunting to
consumers. We've chosen to embrace the feedback that we receive from our clients, use that feedback to constantly
improve, and share the feedback with the broader community. One intended benefit is to help individuals in search of
a new financial advisor relationship to gain insight into the experiences our clients have had working with us.
Verified Reviews - Collecting Feedback:
We have long conducted periodic client satisfaction surveys through an independent third party survey company.
These surveys are sent once per year to all active client contacts. Beginning in 2022, we updated the language on
that survey to give respondents the ability to opt-in to share their ratings and feedback online. To reiterate, only
current clients are surveyed, and respondents are not offered any compensation for their feedback. Each
rating/review represents only that client's experience, and each client's experience may not be representative. Any
client's experiences are no guarantee of future performance.
Ratings - all ratings are included in the calculation of our average rating. Regardless of
the comments/reviews from a given survey, the quantitative rating is included in the overall average rating that is displayed on our website. In other words, 100%
of survey responses are included when calculating the overall average rating that we display on our website, and
ratings are automatically updated when new survey responses are processed.
Reviews/Comments - For a number of reasons, certain free-form comments may not be suitable to publish on our own
website. All comments are reviewed for compliance with our publishing criteria, and unsuitable comments are not
published.
Publishing Criteria
Comments containing any of the below types of content are not suitable for publishing,
and therefore will not be shown on our website:
- Libelous, aggressive, abusive, profanity, racist or discriminatory remarks
- Personally Identifiable Information which could unintentionally disclose the identity of the survey
respondent/reviewer.
- Uninterpretable statements
- Comments pertaining only to the survey tool
- URLs to external websites
- SEC's general prohibitions - As these reviews fall under the SEC's definition of advertisements, they may not
contain any content covered by the SEC's general prohibitions. Under the general prohibitions, an advertisement may
not:
- include an untrue statement of a material fact, or omit to state a material fact necessary to make the statement
made, in light of the circumstances under which it was made, not misleading;
- include a material statement of fact that the adviser does not have a reasonable basis for believing it will be able
to substantiate upon demand by the Commission;
- include information that would reasonably be likely to cause an untrue or misleading implication or inference to be
drawn concerning a material fact relating to the adviser;
- discuss any potential benefits without providing fair and balanced treatment of any associated material risks or
limitations;
- reference specific investment advice provided by the adviser that is not presented in a fair and balanced manner;
include or exclude performance results, or presenting performance time periods, in a manner that is not fair and
balanced; and
